Peter founded Reed Riggs Information Technology in 1986, together with his partner Mike Riggs. Immediately
prior to that, he was IT Director for a London-based merchant bank. He now has over thirty years experience in IT, covering a wide range of applications and environments. Mostly he
has worked in development roles, although he also consults on strategic IT issues. In recent years, most of his work has been within the banking sector, particularly with Risk Management
systems. He still enjoys the occasional programming task, mostly using Microsoft Access and VBA (Excel, Word and Outlook), although he has also done some web development. |

Shaun has been in the IT industry since 1995, gaining his experience in South Africa. He has
developed on a wide range of platforms using various development technologies. These range from the development of batch and online systems - using COBOL and Mantis - on a DOS/VSE Mainframe, to
the development of an OLTP Credit Card system on a MVS Mainframe using COBOL and CICS. Shaun - after 5 years in a Mainframe environment - then moved on to 4GL based development languages such as
Visual Basic. This gave him the foothold into the web development environment, specialising in Microsoft technologies such as ASP, SQL Server and IIS. Shaun has subsequently been a web developer
for 2 years and the initial devlopment in the Mainframe environment has given him a strong foundation to do web development. He has aspirations to be certified as a MCSD in Microsoft's new .net
framework which is due to be released to the public during the middle of the year. |
